5 ways to wear summer suede

So, maybe when you saw all the articles on how suede was going to be huge this summer, you were a bit of a skeptic. I know I was! Sure – suede in the fall and winter I can get behind, but suede in 102 degree, 90% Arkansas humidity? I wasn’t so sure. Nevertheless, I like to try new things for y’all (anything for the blog!) so I set off to find some fabulous summer suede to add to my closet. I will not lie, I was pleasantly surprised by all the amazing items I found and how easy they are to incorporate into your wardrobe.  So without further ado, here are 5 ways to wear summer suede.

Suede or not, this is hands down one of my favorite dresses ever. If someone had told me that I would love and adore a suede, fringed, summer dress I might not have believed them. From the description it would seem too boho for me and something I could never pull off. But once again, SugarLips has a way of making everything so feminine and classic, while still being unique. Plus it is a great blush color, which pairs perfectly with a slight summer glow (here are the best products to get that glow while still protecting your skin!) Speaking of products, I recently found a liquid lipstick that I love! I am wearing the Stila ‘stay all day’ liquid lipstick in carmello and it is one of my new favorites! If you are looking for a nude lipstick with pink undertones this one is perfect. It goes on like a liquid but dries matte in just a few seconds and lasts all day! If any of y’all have tried it out, I would love some other color recommendations!

After searching the internet for over an hour today, I am sad to report that this dress is not yet online. I am so disappointed! This dress is a great price point, and I really wanted all of y’all to get it because it’s just too cute! Don’t worry though, as soon as it comes online I will update this post with the link and update y’all on Instagram. Like I said above, the brand is SugarLips, and I found mine at Dillards. I am wearing a size medium for reference. In the mean time, here are some other great suede dresses (and a romper), all at super good price points!

1 // 2 (love the mustard color) // 3 (on sale!) // 4 // 5 (such a cute romper!)

In addition to this dress and the ones I linked above, here are some other great ways to add some suede into your closet this summer.

  1.  Accessorize: This Vince Camuto suede bag is a staple, and adds suede into your wardrobe subtly. It is something you could wear all summer long and it would be perfect for transitioning to fall as well. Here is a less expensive version I found, it also comes in tan!
  2. Skirtin’ Around: This skirt is SO cute and looks like something the Bachelorette would wear, which is a great thing because those girls are always dressed so stylishly. If fringe ain’t your thang, here’s another great option by Free People!
  3. Top It Off: I am a hat girl through and through. I get it from my Mawmaw (the most stylin’ lady I know!) who wears a cute hat about 4 days of the week. The bling-ier the better in her mind, but today I am talkin’ about topping your outfit off with an adorable suede hat. I love this, this, and am adding this to my cart as we speak!
  4. For The Feet: Ahhh shoes. Seriously my favorite thing to shop for. I picked up these little, suede clogs the other day and have been wearing them non-stop since. Aren’t they perfect for the 4th of July?! You will be seeing them in several different posts coming to the blog soon. In case you want some other options (who doesn’t love options?!) I also love these and these.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and hopefully you found some great (faux) suede items to add to your closet!
