Once upon a time a very practical 18 year old girl fell in love with a charming, dark haired boy. While they were both only kids, they knew they wanted to be together forever and she threw her practicality out the window! They saw no point in waiting to get married, they ignored warnings from everyone that they were too young to know what they wanted out of life. Fast forward two years, and they tied the knot at age 20 and decided to face life head on together. College, bills, jobs, highs, lows, laughter, and tears, they were in it together for the long haul. Figuring out adulthood together one step at a time.

As I am sure you guessed, that young girl was me and that (still charming) boy is my husband! It only took us…6 years, 5 different majors, 4 years of marriage, 3 universities, 2 cities, and 1 new business, but we finally, finally reached a huge milestone in our life! This past week we both graduated from college!

Getting married just after our sophomore year wasn’t easy, but we have grown more than I could ever have imagined and truly found our passions in life. I am so thankful for my hubby for being such a hard worker and supporting my dreams, while also pursuing his own. It brings tears to my eyes when I think about how far we have both come in just a few short years.

My husband is going on to more school to pursue a career in the medical field and I am going to continue my business adventures with I Do Declare Boutique. I honestly don’t know if either of us would be where we are at today without the other ones support and encouragement, and so even though the past few years have not been the easiest or the most conventional, I would not change a thing.

I have also had immense support from my family through it all, and they pushed me to finish my schooling when many times I wanted to quit!

They threw Anthony and I a graduation party this past weekend and we had the best time! After a stressful week of finals, some good ole’ Arkansas BBQ, games, and laughter was the best medicine. I am very lucky to have such a strong support system in my life.

And just in case you wanted to know, here is what I wore for our graduation party!

hot pink swing top with a ruffled hem and a tie at the back.

I am loving this adorable, pink swing top with the ruffled hem. It looks great with white jeans but also isn’t too long to wear with shorts. I wore shorts with it the evening of the party!

If there is one thing I love it’s some neon pink!

Thank you all so much for stopping by and getting a peek into my life 🙂
