Leopard is my favorite color

Skirt: Diane Von Furstenberg via Poshmark, similar here and here // Turtleneck: Banana Republic (old) // Heels: Target // Bag: Target

Y’all…my leopard/cheetah print obsession is real and it’s out of control! My husband always tells me I should have been on that old show on the Disney channel “The Cheetah Girls” (he’s probably gonna kill me for admitting to the world that he even knows what that show is! haha) because I wear it so often. He’ll sing to me when I walk out of the room “Cheetah Girl, Cheetah Sistaaa!” haha! But I can’t help it, I am just drawn to it! Kind of in the same way I am drawn to cinnamon rolls…I literally can’t say no!

When I first saw this Diane Von Furstenberg skirt, I immediately fell in love. I justified another leopard print purchase by telling myself, hey, it looks tooootallyyy different from all your other thousands of leopard print items! Which in my defense, it really does! I love the bright purple and teal in this skirt. I think because of those colors, it could also work in the spring and summer months with some cute wedges!

Another thing I loved about this skirt was the price tag! I got it off Poshmark for less than 30 dollars, when it usually would have cost me over 200! If there is one thing I like more than leopard print (and maybe even cinnamon rolls!), it is finding designer items for much, much less! I stalk my TJ maxx and Marshalls like crazy for good deals and I am pretty sure the sales associates in there are starting to know me by name…a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do though, right?

In other news, I am teaming up with my sweet friend Katie, also a fellow leopard print addict, so we could show you two different ways to incorporate leopard into your outfit!!

Isn’t she adorable in her leopard scarf?!

“In my book, leopard is a neutral. But really, how many girls would disagree with that?! It’s one of those prints that can be bold or subtle depending on how you pair it and how much of it you incorporate into a look, and it pairs beautifully with other prints too. I personally love mixing it with plaids and stripes!”

To read the rest of Katie’s blog post over at She’s Entirely Bonkers, use this link! She is a fabulous writer and not only incorporates fashion but talks about transforming from living a southern lifestyle here in Arkansas to living life in the big city of Washington D.C.! You definitely need to head over to check out her blog 🙂

Y’all have a great Wednesday! I would love to hear about what leopard pieces you are loving at the moment…
